Blogarithm Update Heard from the folks at Blogarithm. (The service that sends email updates when this page is changed.) A very nice, helpful email. They are in transition (seems to be the way of the Cyberworld these days) and promise their service will change dramatically in fairly short order. At the present, it takes as much as twenty-four hours to send out update notices. That will change. So, my request to all of you (and message to me) is that we all be patient for a little while until they get up to speed. Meanwhile, please leave comments. It's lonely out here all by myself : ( Would love to hear from you. It feels kind of like that "If a tree falls in the forest . . ." dilemma. If I post a blog and no one responds . . . ? ? ? Come back Sunday....to see if I've kept to my carving deadline! Thanks. Charlotte By the Way....Expect things to behave differently if you use AOL. Sometimes items don't load as expected. 2. Thanks. As everyone who visits gg designs Gazette knows, I definitely had mixed feelings (mostly negative) about starting a blog.

Initially the mechanics, the cyber-underpinnings, were/are very difficult for me. But if I can ever conquer these, a blog may become a nice, relaxed place to exchange information.

REALLY like that you included a photo. Being able to "see" you is really nice. Screen names, email addresses and in-group nick names can get terribly confusing. Seeing a "real person" is a welcome addition.

Thanks for checking out the blog and commenting on it.

  3. I like both of the carved turtles! Finally voted for the open shelled one over the other only because I could stamp the overall turtle one color ink and then color in the (open) shell area with multicolors of my choice. Hmmm. There must be a good story to the turtle...

Thanks for encouraging those of new to blogs to "dip our feet".

    Happy Easter weekend to you.

  4. "those of new to blogs"..... That would be me :)
Guess we'll sink or swim together...but fair warning, I'm definitely in over my head!
Thanks for jumping in! Happy Easter to you too. Throughout working on the turtle, Easter/eggs/tortoise and the hare kept crowding in. I'm not up for adding a bunny just now, but too bad...this would have been the weekend for it.

  7. Hey, Charlotte!! I'm also getting notices now... yay!! Notices are important for me because otherwise I just don't remember where I should be going :-))LOL

And I just finally took the time to read down your side bar and saw me in your bloggy list and read what you had to say.... I'm honored, thank you!!!

I had a hard time deciding between which carved turtle to choose and finally decided on the open shell but I think they are both great!!

  8. It probably won't be a choice for me. If all goes well, I'll have each "set" ready by tomorrow.

The "acessories" I keep mentioning won't make any sense to anybody so I'll have to explain them in the blog or on the Early Bird page when I post them. Somehow this is getting more complicated than I intended.

Are you taking time out (from stamping) on Easter? Or is that more free time for your stamping/carding/crafts passion?

You should be doing (or ARE you doing) a column somewhere to teach your techniques?

I did see than you had project directions on AMRSC. You are busy, busy!

Thanks for taking time to check out this blog. Hope I don't bore everybody and burn myself out the first week : )

  10. A column somewhere... no. Yes, I'm doing some projects for AMRSC and I'm on the design team for Quietfire Design and try to fit in a few swaps now and then :-)) Right now I'm fighting bronchitis and not really feeling much up to stamping.. I am however getting caught up on my emails and having fun vegging looking at blogs and websites. I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll have more energy and get some stamping done.

  11. : ) Some people wouldn't call looking at blogs and web sites "vegging." I think it's called "research."

Do you stamp EVERY day? It certainly seems like you must.

  12. "There must be a story . . ." Not really, only that a customer asked about the possibility of having a set like this. When we talked (after the turtles had been posted) she laughed. It had been a long time between request and production. And she had forgoten why she had wanted it at the time, but wanted it now anyway.

Just like the turtles....gg designs isn't fast!!!
